I built a tiny AI tool that watches websites for changes so I don’t have to keep checking them manually
I kept running into the same annoying problem: There are certain websites I check over and over because missing an update could actually matter. Examples: \- city bid pages \- grant/funding pages \- competitor pricing pages \- supplier inventory pages \- job boards \- permit/public notice pages \- random pages with no email alerts So I built a small tool that monitors a webpage, detects what changed, and turns the change into a plain-English summary. The basic flow is: URL → snapshot → compare → detect meaningful change → AI summary → alert Example alert: “New contractor bid posted. Deadline is May 14. Looks relevant for landscaping, cleanup, and hauling companies.” I’m trying to figure out who actually has this problem badly enough to use it. Right now I’m looking for 5 people who regularly check the same websites manually. I’ll set up a free test watchlist for you and send summaries when changes happen. What I’m trying to learn: 1. What types of pages do people actually need monitored? 2. How often should the alerts happen? 3. Is “what changed + why it matters” enough, or would people want suggested next actions too? 4. Would this be more useful for businesses, job seekers, investors, contractors, resellers, or researchers? Not trying to pretend this is some giant revolutionary AI platform. It’s basically a useful little internet watchdog with reading comprehension. If you have a page you constantly check manually, comment what kind of page it is.
