Fear and uncertainty in final phase of launching product (geopolitics) - i will not promote
i will keep it short and i don‘t expect anyone to solve this matter. in fact i would just like to talk about it with some guys on here i think. so i will launch a blue ocean product in the med tech/recovery field, more precisely linked to an aesthetic surgery procedure. after some hiccups i‘m kinda left without a lot of marketing funds so my strategy is to launch in turkey and just go from door to door to clinics. i have developed and prototyped my product between colombia and dubai with most of the assembly outsourced to pakistan. i‘m currently still in south america and my planned departure is on the 19th of april. now what makes me really worried is the iran situation. my company is in a dubai freezone and my entire supply chain and launch market is basically sitting right next to the heat. i just don’t know if it’s the right timing or if i should stay here. i mean i know there is also a very big market for it in mexico since i'm already in latam, but since they have different power outlets and the logistics/customs would probably bankrupt me right now, i don’t think that this is a viable solution to pivot last minute. maybe just let me know your thoughts. just keep going and risk it? postpone? i'm just looking for a chat or a reality check from anyone who has dealt with geopolitical mess while launching physical goods. thanks guys! cheers :)
The venture is in a precarious state with a fragmented, high-risk supply chain and zero remaining marketing capital, making execution nearly impossible. While the aesthetic surgery market in Turkey is a strong niche, the lack of regulatory clarity and the founder's current paralysis due to geopolitical instability are major red flags for any investor.
