About

For a long time I suspected some of my traffic was coming from AI assistants but I had no way to confirm it or measure it. Google Search Console does not show LLM referrals clearly. Analytics tools lump a lot of AI-driven traffic into direct or dark social. The only way I knew AI citations were happening was when someone occasionally emailed or commented saying they found my content through a ChatGPT or Perplexity response. That felt good but it was completely unmeasurable and therefore impossible to build a strategy around. The frustrating part was knowing the channel existed without being able to see it. SEO without data is just guessing. I was making content decisions based on Google signals alone while an entirely separate traffic channel was operating in the background with zero visibility. The thing that changed this for me was the AI Citation Tracking dashboard [inside this SEO tool](http://aiseoblogging.com/). It tracks when your content gets referenced by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude inside actual user responses. You can see which articles are being cited, which LLM is doing the citing, and how that number changes over time. The first week I used it I found out three articles I had published four months ago were being cited regularly by Perplexity. One of them had never ranked above position 11 on Google so I had mentally written it off as underperforming. It was actually one of my best-performing assets on a channel I had not been measuring at all. That single insight changed how I prioritise content. Articles are not just Google assets anymore. Some of them are AI citation assets and those need to be identified, protected, and built on deliberately. If you are making content decisions based only on what Google Search Console shows you, there is a good chance you are missing a meaningful part of the picture.

AI Score Reasoning

The startup targets the high-growth 'AI Optimization' (AIO) niche, solving a genuine visibility gap in modern SEO strategy. However, the lack of team data and the high probability of incumbents like Semrush or Ahrefs building similar features creates significant competitive and platform risk.
