About

I had a problem I couldn't fix. I was wasting hours every day on short form content. Reels, Shorts, TikTok. Not because I was weak. Because every solution I tried made my phone unusable. Opal blocked everything or nothing. Grayscale made me miserable. Deleting apps meant losing my DMs and my YouTube. I just wanted one thing: block the garbage, keep the good. Block Reels but keep Instagram. Block Shorts but keep YouTube. Nobody had built that. So I built it myself. With zero experience. I learned from scratch over 4 months just to solve my own problem. Showed it to friends. They wanted it. Showed it to a few more people. Same reaction. So I pushed it to the Play Store and forgot about it for a few days. Less than a week later 2 strangers paid $4.99 to use something I built because I was frustrated. 40 users total. $10 net. It doesn't matter. What shifts when a stranger pays is hard to explain. Your friends buying makes sense, they know you, they want to support you. A stranger has zero reason to. They just had the same problem, found what I built, and decided it was worth their money. That's all the validation I needed. Still early. Still a lot to build. But those $10 from strangers told me more than 4 months of building ever could.

AI Score Reasoning

The founder demonstrates high grit and speed-to-market by solving a personal pain point that existing incumbents like Opal have overlooked. However, the venture potential is constrained by significant platform risk and the challenge of turning a 'surgical' feature into a defensible, multi-million dollar business.
