Systems and AI tools for the investment process
I have developed an advisory relationship with an investment holding company that deploys some capital each year into early-stage companies that have some tech proposition related or adjacent to their industry footprint. They say that they invest thematically, but their processes strike me as un-systematic, subjective and manual. I don't come from a VC background myself, but I'm interested to learn about tools (commercial SaaS, or self-built, or work flows with maintream LLMs) that are well regarded by the industry, especially for a first-pass review, leading up to preparation of an investment memo.
This is not a startup deal but a discovery-phase inquiry from an advisor looking for existing tools to solve a manual workflow problem. While the market need for AI-driven investment systems is real, there is no product, team, or company to evaluate for investment potential.
